About
Taylor Page
I grew up in Sydney, Australia, in a very creative household. My mum writes beautiful poetry, my eldest brother writes children’s stories, my middle brother writes fantasy, and my dad writes screenplays.
I have always read books. When I was a child, my mum would read me Pollyanna by Eleanor H. Porter, along with other classics.
My mum has always been my greatest influence. She has always encouraged me to write and continue to better myself.
I had always planned on becoming a primary school teacher; however, when I left high school and entered University, I quickly realised that wasn’t what I wanted to do. It took me a long time to realise that writing was my true passion. My family and friends are incredibly supportive of my dream, and always celebrate my accomplishments with me.
I have always loved writing. Even as a young child, I would make up stories, write plays and invent new characters. My writing style has never been conventional, although when it comes to a classic romance story, it’s as conventional as it gets!
I wrote Chapter One at a time in my life when I was feeling very vulnerable. I had just had a cancer scare; we were all going through a pandemic, and I lost a very young family member.
I realised that life was too short to miss out on the things I always wanted to do. Creative writing was a way for me to cope and was a personal goal I had always wanted to achieve.
I lead a busy life, and writing is just a small part of it. I also do lots of volunteer work, which is incredibly rewarding. I have always loved giving back to the community and have done so ever since I was a child. Another trait I share with my mum.

Chapter One
by Taylor Page
Sarah always believed she had her life perfectly planned; every step carefully mapped out, every dream shaped into something practical, something safe. As a little girl, her world felt endless, her heart set on a future filled with possibility. But somewhere along the way, those dreams softened, reshaped into a life that made sense… even if it didn’t quite feel right.
Needing space to breathe, to think, to remember who she used to be, Sarah makes a rare decision to step away and escape on a seaside vacation. She tells herself it’s only temporary; a pause, nothing more.
But then she meets him.
What begins as a fleeting, unexpected encounter on the beach quickly becomes something neither of them can ignore. There’s an ease between them, a spark that feels both unfamiliar and undeniable, like something she’s been missing without even realising it. With him, Sarah starts to see herself differently. Braver. Freer. Closer to the girl she once was.
As the days slip by, so do her defences. The life she left behind begins to feel distant, while the one unfolding in front of her feels dangerously real.
Now Sarah is faced with a choice: return to the life she’s always known, or risk everything for a love she never saw coming.
Because some moments change you… and some people make you question everything you thought you wanted.

Blog - An Inside Look at My Life
What a year it has been so far.
We are halfway through 2026, and I can tell you now, I don’t particularly like it.
I’m a week post-surgery. My third surgery in a year. It doesn’t seem like much, but when you have as severe anxiety around hospitals as I do, it’s three too many.
I have had my own journey going on, but so has my family. It’s been a rough year already. Actually, it’s been a rough six years.
Most of you know my writing journey started with a cancer scare and the death of my young cousin.
Well, last year, we came full circle back to the cancer scare, except this time, it wasn’t a scare.
In my last year, I had a cyst explode. I suffer from PCOS (now PMOS), and a cyst rupturing isn’t uncommon. What was different about this one was that it hurt so much more than usual and for longer. I figured I’d go and get it checked. The ultrasound showed some masses in my uterus and on my ovary.
The doctor said, “It’s probably cancer”.
Okay. Not great.
I found a specialist and made an appointment for ten months down the track. Then they called back with a cancellation, and I was in the next week. Then I was off having ultrasounds again, as well as blood tests.
The ultrasounds were inconclusive but still showed masses.
Surgery has been booked to find out what those masses were.
One of them was cancer. Growing in my uterine lining. That was the mass in my uterus. The mass on my ovary was benign and not really an issue. It’d just cause discomfort every now and then.
So, I did have cancer. But not in the way I thought. I wouldn’t have to have chemo or radiation. They’d removed the cancer, and hopefully my body wouldn’t grow any more.
I had a treatment plan in place. I just had to stick to it. Losing weight was a big part of it.
I’ve lost forty-five kilos since that first surgery.
The second surgery was the same. They’d remove anything that was in there and test it.
No cancer.
So I’ve just had the third, and I am still waiting for the results. I am hoping with everything in me that I have done all the right things and that no cancer was detected.
This has all been going on silently behind the scenes for the last year. And that’s not even the rough part. That’s just been my journey.
Everything else that has happened around all this has been worse. So much worse. And while I struggle through the next six months, at least I can be proud of myself for fighting as hard as I have for the last year. I plan to keep fighting, and I’ll fight for a future I never thought I’d have. That made it sound like I was always going to die young. But no, I mean kids. I’ve always been told, since getting diagnosed with PMOS at twenty, that kids were out of the question. Well, not anymore. My future looks a little bit brighter, even if this year has been an absolute dumpster fire.
This blog took a wild turn. I was just trying to complain about how much 2026 has sucked so far, but now I’m actually hopeful and optimistic about the rest of the year.
Be good. I know you’ve got it in you!
